I LOVE 80's Heavy Metal!!!!!!
It is awesome. I bet Lisa is cringing right about now. I have always loved it. When I was 3 years old I got AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" LP for my birthday, so I don't think I had a chance. All through high school it was all about:
Motley Crue
Poison
Guns and Roses
and a heap of others.
Even though high school was 20 years ago, they all still appear on my Ipod. Guns and Roses "Appetite for Destruction" reminds me so much of summer '88.
For some reason this type of music used to get me in trouble with my parents, don't know why. I got in trouble for skipping classes at college and therefore had all my metal taken off of me for a month. Little did they know that my friends just taped copies for me to listen too while I waited!! :) I even got away with playing Aerosmith in my parents car during the ban!!!!!
Today I taken a more mature approach towards the metal. There are three books that I have read in the past few years that I have not been able to put down. They are "The Dirt" - Motley Crue, Slash - Slash and "The Heroin Diaries" - Nikki Sixx. I have read each at least twice each and plan to read them all again and again!!

Finally if you think this type of music is the devils music, don't stress, I love Stryper too. They are a christian heav metal band!! :) It's all good!!!

If I had known you were into all this when I met you, I would've definitely thought twice!!! It's bad enough you go on about hawthorn and now you tell everyone you love this crap too!!!!!
haha. I was a little worried by the post title 'time to come out of the closet.' :)
Nice to see you found something you feel worthy to blog about!
I like a bit of ACDC!
Aaron, I have 5 words for you "bring on the footy season"!
PS I've got to say, this "obsession" is so much healthier than the "Oasis" one!
BLUR ROCK!!!
Don't worry Aaron, you favourite decrepit M.I.L. loves AC DC as well.
Rock on I say!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, Summer of '88. I was 6 months old ;)
I hear you've been begging Lisa for Guitar Hero World Tour?!? That game is going to be absolutely sweet. I'm housesitting for the Cullis family and the whole kit is sitting in Darcy's cot right now, waiting to go under the tree for my brother! (My mum asked me to hide it here) I can't wait to have a go of it!!! Next time I pop round (I don't have any more scooters to bring, though), we'll have to have a battle, because, I pride myself on my GH skills!
Best of luck convincing Lisa to get World Tour. Hopefully she'll come around! :)
I'm over guitar hero and all those things, thats all I've been delivering the last few weeks, People must love it.
